Team would travel to a town on the Laotian border called Chiang Kham to work with the Home of Blessing. It is about  an hour south/east of Chiang Rai. (most maps have it) We have a great contact up there - Pastor Sayan- who runs an orphanage for kids 5-18 years of age. You would be living and working with the kids the whole time, totally plugging into their lives and ministry there doing bible studies, hanging out etc. Teams are usually involved in teaching English, teaching songs, skits, dramas, doing evangelism & open airs, prayer walking on the border...as well as doing some manual labor projects around the grounds.

One of the great dangers for women and children in Southeast Asia is the risk of abduction into the sex trafficking industry.  The Home Of Blessing, founded by Sayan and Siriporn Kusavadee, is a children's home and boarding school for at-risk girls anywhere from 8 to 18 years old.  The Home of Blessing takes in girls who are especially vulnerable to traffickers in the surrounding hill tribe areas.  Their mission is to protect these girls and help raise and disciple them in the love of Christ.
