79. Church Planting – Phang Nga

The Pak Thai of Southern Thailand, with a total population of more than 3.1 million, are one of the largest un-evangelized peoples in the world. Located in Southern Thailand, just inside of the 10/40 Window, is the province of Phang Nga, about one hour north of Phuket.  With the fewest amount of Christians, the least number of churches, and fewest number of missionaries, it is the target area for YWAM's church planting effort. The YWAM Church Planting team in Phang Nga is involved in friendship evangelism, teaching English in local schools, youth and children's ministries, baby sitting at a local orphanage, construction projects in Muslim villages (no skills necessary) as part of a continuing effort to rebuild after the 2004 Asian Tsunami. Your team will also have the opportunity to participate in the life of the church by sharing your testimony, performing a drama, singing a special song, and encouraging the congregation!  See http://www.ywamthai.org/phangnga/

Vision -
To continue the work of evangelism by following up with people who live nearby or whom were affected by the 2004 Asian Tsunami. To start an English center, coffee shop and to focus more on church development (i.e. teaching).
